Puffins Healthcare provides temporary Nurses, Healthcare Assistants and Support Workers to a variety of different care settings, including Residential Homes, Nursing Homes, Hospitals, Private Hospitals, the NHS and Homecare companies. Temporary solutions include last-minute shift coverage, covered by our own in-house on-call service, to solutions for longer-term absences and fixed term contracts.

We operate a robust and stringent recruitment process and therefore only provide the most suitable and more importantly the most enthusiastic staff within the industry. Our process consists of:
Initial telephone interview prior to meeting face to face
Face to face, competency based interview
Enhanced DBS check and a minimum of 2 references
Comprehensive in-house training that is CQC approved.
In addition to this we also carry out quarterly monitoring of staff, part of this involves you and obtaining your personal feedback as to their performance. We also carry out annual appraisals which also gives our staff the opportunity to provide feedback to us and notify us of any additional training they feel they would need or like in order to progress.
